BLOOD BROTHERS the musical - everyone should see it!
I'm assistant stage managing for the production of Blood Brothers, being performed in Chester at the Black River Playhouse. It's been a very positive experience for me, and everyone should see it if you've got the time. It's done in the round, which poses a very interesting space to work with. Log onto:

Central theme of Willy Russell's compelling and sentimental musical is about how fate can twist a mother's selfless act of love for her twin sons into something tragic and melodramatic. This production features the talents of Lynn Hart as the mother who sacrifices so much for her sons, Ben Taylor Cohen and Jeff Fiorello as the blood brothers of the title. Adding to the power of the cast are veteran performers Carla Kendall and Bill Brisley as the adoptive parents and Kevin J. Gray who acts as the Narrator and guide through this heart-wrenching story. Susan Hagen, who has performed several times on the CTG stage, brings her own special sweetness to the role of Linda, the female point in the romantic triangle. Chris Mortenson of Oldwick, a newcomer to CTG imbues the pivotal role of Sammy, the twins older brother, with an energy all his own. The company is completed by Geraldine Baillod of Rockaway, Claire Gricko of Randolph, Brenda Kull of Oxford, Erica Traugh of Garwood, Elizabeth Urcinoli of Hackettstown, Peter Kendall of Wayne, David MacDonald of Mt. Arlington, and Jason Shane of Hamburg. This ensemble of 8 versatile and talented performers play various other characters within the this tale of twin brothers separated at birth.
